Viking Ship DRAFT · pending approval (Jerod)

Burnable floating vessels for cremains. Proposed Oct 27 2026. Calm, dignified, modern — between Fastwrecks copper/black and MHD midnight navy. Not canon until Jerod approves.

Proposed colors (Norse funerary-grounded)

Why these: saga blár (dark blue → near-black) and woad/indigo burial textiles are the attested grief axis; undyed grey wool = ash; madder red in high-status graves (e.g. Gokstad) → copper, used sparingly. No single "Viking mourning black" — black-for-mourning is later. Text: cream #F5F2EB on navy, navy #0E1A2B on linen.

Logo direction (sober / dignified only)

• Simple abstract hull + soft wake, or ash/ember ring over a quiet water line.
• Line weight between FW copper illustration and MHD flat clarity.
• Modern sans wordmark; works on navy and on linen.
• Nothing cartoonish. No dragon prows, shields, axes.

• Do: quiet grief, dignity, fire→water transition, copper + navy kinship with the family brands.
• Don't: runes or rune fonts; myth/gods (no "Valhalla" copy); horned helmets ("Bugs Bunny was wrong"); cartoon longships or any cartoon Viking tropes; skulls; blackletter; blood red as primary.
